Candace Ewell ’00 was named Partner/Principle at Price Waterhouse Cooper in their national office in Washington D.C. In her role, she assists clients in making voluntary disclosures to the IRS for tax compliance failures, as well as with various types of penalty abatement requests. Ewell is one of the leading legal tax experts in the country on information reporting. Her experience includes reviewing and analyzing tax legislation and regulations focusing on identifying potential business impacts to both small and fortune 500 companies; corporate tax matters including consolidated returns, reorganizations and corporate spin-offs; and has worked extensively with the Treasury and IRS personnel.
Prior to making Partner, Ewell served as Director with Price Waterhouse Cooper, Associate Chief Counsel (Tax Policy) with the U.S. SBA Office of Advocacy, and as an Attorney Advisor with IRS Associate Chief Counsel.
